At Quiz on Demand, we offer a great way to start or finish your night with a variety of different table top rounds that are designed to keep your teams fully engaged throughout the night.

What are table top quizzes?

Table top quizzes, also known as marathon rounds, are question and answer games which are played on flat surfaces, such as a table top. They are either used as their own standalone round or used alongside the main quiz as an extra round for teams to work on throughout the night.

The main focus of a table top quiz is to bring friends and family together, with the aim of testing their knowledge and memory abilities whilst also having fun.

Who would enjoy table top quizzes?

Table top quizzes make the perfect round from those aged around 8 and above thanks to the huge variety of different games, themes and questions that can be used.

You can also easily alter the difficulty levels with table top quizzes, making them an ideal round for incorporating into a pub quiz for adults in the evening as well as including younger people during the day.

Types of table top quizzes

There are a huge variety of different table top quizzes to choose from, and listed below are some of the most popular.

Catchphrase

Catchphrase quizzes are one of our most popular types of features in our Table Top quizzes. This is a classic quiz game that many people know and love, but for those who aren’t aware of the game, the goal is essentially to guess the right saying, phrase or word. This type of quiz is great for a wide range of participants of all ages and knowledge levels.

Cryptic puzzles

Cryptic puzzles include a variety of different games such as anagrams, hidden words, puns and phrases with a twist, riddles and so on. This type of table top quiz is perfect for those of you who want to include more challenging rounds and have your teams working together throughout the night.

Word and number puzzles

Word and number puzzles are probably the most popular pastimes for people who enjoy completing puzzles on a daily basis, and you only have to look at the popularity of crosswords to realise this.

They can very easily range in difficulty, making them ideal for a number of different participants. Some of the most popular word and number puzzles include anagrams, dingbats and ditloids.

Picture puzzles

Picture puzzles make the perfect round for table top quizzes and they are usually the easiest to compile. Sometimes they will include distorted pictures of logos, zoomed in pictures of celebrities and even multiple images that are used to make up one image.

Picture table top quizzes make a great addition to any themed quiz and they can help to keep your team’s brains ticking throughout the whole night.

Our Survey Says

Our Survey Says is just like Family Fortunes. Your teams will be going head to head, taking part in a game inspired by one of the longest running international game shows. Your teams will try to guess the top 6 answers to specific questions, making it the perfect round for teams of all ages and interests.

Think Link

Think Link involves finding the connection between a series of different images. For example, you may show 3 images that all link to a specific year, city, person or song. Again, this type of table top quiz is perfect for themed quizzes and you could either run them alongside the whole quiz or in between rounds.

Dead or Alive

Dead or alive is a game often played between friends at home, which is what makes it so popular when it is played as a tabletop game at pub quiz nights. This type of game can be used as a picture round, clues, or even as a music round if you want to provide some light entertainment before the other quiz rounds.

Chart Toppers

If you don’t have a music round in your quiz, introducing a chart toppers table top quiz is the perfect way to include some top songs. You can use this table top quiz throughout the night in between rounds, as a warm up round or even after the quiz as a chance for your teams to score some bonus rounds.
